Imagination and history meet as students learn the basics of handbuilding with earthenware clay. The rich history of the pottery and sculpture of Latin America will inspire students as they have fun learning to pinch, coil and slab-form earthenware clay into a variety of sculptural and pottery forms. Decoration and glazing will explore the bright low-temperature pallet of Latin American ceramics and inspire your child's creative vision as they make pieces that express their own creativity.
For Youth, Ages 8 to 12 years.
This is a 6 week course from Jan. 19, 2010 - Feb. 23, 2010 on Tuesdays from 3:00 P.M - 5:30 P.M.
